Is there such a thing as real magic spells and real love spells?

These are common questions amongst budding young wizards and witches of today aspiring to practice spells and magic, or even people who have no such aspirations, but are just curious.

With a flurry in magical programs such as Charmed, Merlin and films like Harry Potter, the world of wizardry and witchcraft is growing in popularity. But are these realms of fantasy based in any reality at all? Also, why are we so excited with them?! Perhaps it’s indicating a longing for a break from our material life of science and fact through something that’s different, magical, otherworldly.

There’s something inbuilt in us human beings which hankers for and becomes excited by such a realm of magic and mystery. Perhaps we want the fun, the thrill, too feel the power of adjusting our worldly environment with something intangible; to cast a spell by waving our magic wand for good health and energy, for our troubles to desert us or to find loving relationships, fun and laughter.

I’ve seen sites catering for all sorts of needs of the magical customer, each offering their own specific variations of services such as spells of magic, black and white magic spells, free voodoo spells, free witchcraft spells, magic love spells, free love spells, free magic spells and recipes for spells and potions! And there are some pretty good potions out there, especially for homemade incense for festive celebrations like weddings or Sabbats.

People also question fearfully, is there such a thing as real black magic? What about voodoo? Is it dangerous? But what about the dark side?! Are we facing our own dark sides when we search for a black magic spell or a free voodoo spell?
Perhaps it is our consciousness that is the key to understanding this. Whatever our mind leans towards towards, it is often found that this is the general result that is created. Sometimes we don’t mean to create this, it just seems to happen! But that could be because it’s done subconsciously.

The gift of awareness shines a light upon our actions and indeed ourselves. When we recognise that this is what we are doing – creating at every moment – then perhaps we will become a little more conscious of our actions.

‘The rule of three’ and ‘harm none’ and are the witches’ rules of good practice. The eastern law of karma is very similar to this. Good action leads to good returning to you and if you do bad, with the intention to harm then, well, you can fill in the blank. Whatever you create is your responsibility.

Magic is about your intention. It’s personal to you. Your magic is about your will and personal power. And by power I don’t mean mighty might. I mean personal power; what we want, what we have to offer the world, to create our best creations. We all have the power to do this. To draw inspiration from our environment, people in your life, plants and trees, inanimate ancient objects like standing stones that have seen all weathers both good and bad, animals.
Whatever it is, trust that you have inside you, your own special magical potential glowing at your fingertips.

It all gets quite deep, but that’s how it is the world of magic and witchcraft, especially if you are new. It’s full of very old wisdom and knowledge and it gives fathomless depths of richness and insight for the enthusiastic practitioner, as a way of creating, for self awareness and understanding.

So all in all, such things as real magic spells do indeed exist, it just depends on what you desire to create.

Book of Shadows Spells

If you are practiced in the art of magic then your own book of shadows spells are always a powerful source to draw from and it’s also lovely to read and revisit your old inspirations and discoveries from the past.

If you are new in the art of how to cast spells, then there are many books on spells for beginners covering such topics as luck spells, healing spells, powerful spells, beauty spells, love spells, money spells and candle spells.

It is important to avoid any such topics as black magic spells, death spells, revenge spells, spells and curses, voodoo spells, free money spells, black magic love spells and evil spells. Any person that offers these with intent to harm in anyway should be avoided. The witches’ rule of three (as well as the power of three) is there for a reason and even if someone is paid to cast a spell, everyone involved should beware of the reaction to this.

Intent to harm others is strictly forbidden and is a rule adhered to in all witchcraft spells and rituals. Spells of magic should be focused on good only. The spirit of magic is that none should be harmed – we like to bless – not curse.

A witch’s book of shadows is a personal diary of your own spells. It can include literally anything you like and some examples are: How to cast spells, break up spells, luck spells, break up spells, binding spells, psychic spells. You don’t just need to include spells.

Create you own recipes for incense, spells and charms and spells and potions or love potions for example. There are many books on how to safely do this using ingredients that are gorgeous to work with such as resins, herbs, oils and dried flowers.

Other exciting areas of magic to include in your book of shadows could be fire spells, white magic spells and traditional Wicca spells. Again there are many websites that can point you in the right direction. Protection spells are very useful for protecting yourself on a journey, at work or for protecting a friend. Beauty spells and love spells are always popular with friends! Money spells are obviously useful and have very measurable results too!

Candles are lovely to work with as they come in so many different colors and shapes and sizes. Candle spells are lovely to do on any phase of the moon (especially the full moon!) under the stars and provide a warming setting for outdoor rituals. Ancient spells of practitioners that have walked the path before us are exciting to carry out. Note the results in your book of shadows too.

Easy spells and easy love spells are handy for when you’re feeling lazy or short of time! It does take practice to come up with your own real magic spells, incantations, lotions and potions and it’s lovely to look back on past inspirations, recipes and results noted down in your book.

Other things you can try include weight loss spells, a spell to find, a spell to attract, a loss spell, spell to protect, spell to bring, attract new customers, protect your car, job spell and even astral travel.

A book of shadows is personal to the practitioner but some choose to publish it or leave it to their children. Some are quite literally works of art with italics writing, drawings and colors filling the pages. Your book of shadows spells are like a personal magical memoir for you to call upon or to share with the next generation.

How to Cast Spells

The growth of the self development industry has moved people towards taking control of their own lives and this also relates to the world of magic and how to cast spells.

Spell casting would have been a controversial topic years ago, but it appears that many people are taking ownership of their personal development and connecting with their personal power.

Here is a very simple format for doing rituals for all spells: Create a serene environment in your own space where ever that may be and where you won’t be disturbed. Visualise a circle of white light around you. Next, invite the four directions, or quarters, north, south, east and west. See them as earthy, fiery, airy and watery beings. Then, a candle of intention should be lit and incense burned (frankincense is good).

Now with the mood prepared, you are now ready to start your spell.

See clearly what you want to create in your mind’s eye. You can draw it as a symbol or picture on a small piece of paper. Don’t worry if art isn’t your thing! And now, what ever comes to you speak out loud, or whisper what you want to create.

You can speak for seconds or a few minutes, there is no limit really. It’s up to you. When your speaking is finished, state “So mote it be” out loud.

Roll up your paper containing your symbol or drawing. Using a flame proof surface – either a metal sink, hearth or cauldron for example, use your candle to burn it and meditate on its ash and smoke disappearing into the air. Your spell is complete.

So, which spells to do?! It depends on you. There are many beginners books on rituals and spells but whatever life situation you can think of, a spell will exist for it. Life areas commonly covered in spells are break up spells to heal the pain, love and relationships, house and home, work and career, health and pets.

Your own book of shadows spells will always be heartening to open when you feel the need to cast, as they are your own personal works. These will also be more powerful as you are the one with the desire for a particular outcome. Another person won’t have this like you do.

Dabbling in any form of darkness where harm is wished upon another is forbidden in the world of witch craft spells.

Free Black Magic Spells – beware what you wish for.

There is a rise of interest in recent times regarding free black magic spells. Many people, especially on the Internet, are offering their services, willing to cast these types of spells at a whim.Dark magic or black magic is the type of sorcery that uses powers of darkness and usually has a unwholesome consciousness behind it. Any type of black magic spells are to be avoided and definitely anybody offering free black magic spells are to be mistrusted.  Normally those using dark magic are out to steal, cause destruction or even in the worst cases to kill others or injure them.

Often these types of magicians create their own book of shadows spells with the intention of passing them on to others interested in this type of magic.

Many people who dabble in dark magic do not care about other people or about the possible harmful consequences that could occur.  When practiced, this magic is only usually for personal gain. This is damaging to what is a very gentle, nature based worship.  All magic tends to get tarnished with the same brush.  There are people who think all forms of magic are evil black magic linked with Satanism.  Some people think that magic, black or white is all under the same umbrella and should be avoided even if it has obvious good intention like the practice of white magic love spells or peace spells for example.

But whatever you believe, remember the three-fold law of witch craft spells which is the ethical rule followed by all conscientious practitioners.  That whatever you choose to be the object of your magic or the outcome of your magic, if there is unwholesome intent, the practitioner will get it back threefold.

Free White Magic Spells

All white magic is free and each of us has the power within to create a whole book of personal and free white magic spells that are unique to us.

There is never any need to pay somebody else to work magic for us and it is worth knowing that the magic we create and practice ourselves is much more powerful than any other spell designed for us by somebody else.

Magic is within us and it is our birthright to practice it. You don’t need much to start off either.  All you need is a coffee table sized altar, some candles, essential oils and some incense. You can really go to town with all the exciting magical accoutrements but in order to practice and cast spells of magic you don’t need all these things at the start, just the basics.

Magic is a huge subject and there is a lot to learn. From Sabbat rituals and full moon spells right through to how to make incense, there is enough to keep you going for a lifetime.

It is up to you which path to choose however. You might choose to join a group or coven or you might choose solitary practice. However, there is always the temptation and those who tempt you to practice black magic spells. Break Up Spells – a controversy.

Break up spells are a source of controversy among the magical community.  They come under the rules of love spells and there are so many people who enquire about them, wondering if it’s possible to break up a couple so that they can have that partner themselves.

Basically some love spells are ethical and some aren’t. The best way to test this is to liken it to something you do in real life.  For example shopping for a beautiful new dress or having a facial. Spells that are created to make you feel better about yourself, more attractive are similar to these real-life actions and are great to cast, yielding confidence boosting result results.

It is important to always own your experience and never to point a finger of blame towards somebody else or concentrate on them having to change instead you. It is important not to try and change another person.

The Law of Threefold Return is a very important law in witchcraft.  Using any spells including break up spells to control, would dominate another person and be considered unethical and it can also have a damaging effect spell caster.

Spells for Beginners

Witchcraft has become so popular and more accepted in the last decade or so, that there is a huge range of books and courses on offer where you can learn how to cast spells for beginners, carry out full moon spells and rituals plus a lot more.

The craft is huge and far reaching and it takes a lifetime to learn all the exciting ways to work real magic spells, honor the Sabbats, make incense, brews and oil blends.  It really is endless and there are many pagan groups that are open for new people to join.

If you are a beginner, do however look out for those offering free black magic spells, break up spells, black magic love spells, free revenge spells, real black magic, free voodoo spells, spells and curses or voodoo love spells.  This seems quite a list of things to look out for, but there are some unscrupulous characters around.

Here is a ritual which will stand you in good stead as the basis for any spell.

Firstly decide what your goal is.  What would you like the outcome of your spell to achieve?  By starting with the end in mind, this helps us to have our consciousness in the goal instead of the obstacles, which is a very important start for weaving a successful spell.  You can write this down or draw it.

Some people make a vision board and cut out pictures from magazines and journals and include artistically written words to help them connect with the end goal.  This is also good if drawing isn’t your strong point!

Once you have done this it is important to cleanse yourself and the atmosphere.  You can make yourself a ritual bath with a drop each of rosemary, sandalwood, myrrh and frankincense essential oils.  This clears the energies of the day away and sets the mind for focused work.  Breathe in the aromas as you concentrate on your ritual goal.

Preferably you should be alone in your house (or outside) or at least have a room to yourself where you know you won’t be disturbed.  Once back in the ritual room, smolder some incense of 2 parts frankincense, 1 part Myrrh and 1/2 part cinnamon. Light some candles, ideally green for north, red for south, blue for west and yellow or white for east.  Place these candles around you in a circle in the appropriate quarters and stand in the middle.

Now draw a circle with your hand outstretched three times around you, visualizing white light coming out of your hand.  Some use a wand or athame (ritual knife) for this but for beginners, your hand is fine.  With your circle of white light around you, you are now ready to start your spell.

Sit in the middle of your circle and take your drawing or written goal.  Recite out loud and keep it where you can see it. Visualize your goal manifest.  You are being it, having it, it is yours.

Now close the circle by ‘undrawing’ the circle, anticlockwise this time.  Thank the quarters for their presence.

It is lovely to cast these works of magic for yourself.  Free white magic spells are a gift to us all and are our birthright to perform.  We each have the power within us.  Remember to record your workings, as your book of shadows spells are always very helpful to look up for future times.
